MUSCAT – National Bank of Oman (NBO) has launched its annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaign Shahr Al Atta. This program encompasses a series of initiatives designed to make a positive impact on the community and contribute to the nation’s growth. Shahr Al Atta kicked off with an internal staff event – a delightful Bake Sale held on 29 February. This sets the stage for a season of generosity and community engagement, resonating with the spirit of compassion as the Holy Month of Ramadan approaches.

The Bake Sale, the first event of the Shahr Al Atta initiative, unleashed the culinary talents of employees, showcasing a delectable array of mouth-watering baked goods. The proceeds from this event will be contributed to NBO’s CSR drive, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to social responsibility.

In its second phase, Shahr Al Atta will distribute food hampers to low-income families across the country. This initiative, which has been a cornerstone of NBO’s CSR efforts for several years, aims to provide essential sustenance and support to those in need during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

As part of the Shahr Al Atta program, NBO will also collaborate with a charitable organisation to celebrate Qaranqasho, a joyous occasion dedicated to bringing happiness to less fortunate children. Through various activities and partnerships, NBO strives to create memorable moments for these children and spread the joy of the season. The concluding activity of Shahr Al Atta will involve partnership with a charitable establishment to celebrate Eid, fostering a sense of community and togetherness during the festive occasion. Through this series of impactful initiatives, Shahr Al Atta aims to embody the spirit of giving, compassion, and unity during this sacred time.
