Health Ministry begins to distribute blood sugar electronic sensors

MUSCAT – In implementation of the Royal orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Ministry of Health began to distribute electronic blood sugar sensors and insulin pumps to Omani children with type 1 diabetes from among those aged below 18 years.


These highly advanced devices allow accurate monitoring that helps diminish the symptoms resulting from blood sugar deficiencies.


Although type 1 diabetes has no cure, but it can be controlled in children, to reduce the occurrence of the ailment’s serious complications. Modern technologies used in the devices improve the quality of life of diabetic children and help them lead normal lives.
