MUSCAT – Bait Al Zubair Foundation, represented by the Bait Al Zubair Museum, held its sixth annual ceremony recently for tour guides from all nationalities.

This ceremony comes in appreciation of the efforts made by the tour guides, and to strengthen the relationship between the guide and the museum.

In his speech, Omar Al Maamari, the museum’s Manager, said: ” Our journey began with our serious commitment – to nurturing the Omani cultural heritage since 1998 which takes us back to the stories of generations past, and reminds us of the rich elements that made up the Omani heritage and identity. Here comes the role of the guide in telling these stories bringing them to life for countless visitors to the place, and drawing vivid pictures of our history, traditions, and way of life. Your commitment and dedication to celebrating Omani heritage goes beyond mere words, as you have been the bridge between the past and the present, and you are its guardians.”

The ceremony was accompanied by singing performances by Al Balad Music Band, which is the first Omani Muwashahat band founded in 2022 under the leadership of the artist, Muslim Al Kathiri, and presented several performances taken from texts by Omani poets, in addition to musical pieces for the Eastern music.

The tour guides expressed their thanks for this kind initiative from the foundation, and expressed their happiness to meet colleagues in the field, get to know them, and benefit from their experiences.
