MUSCAT – Bank Muscat organised an event in Salalah which focused on the importance of digital transformation. The event was aimed at enhancing partnership with government institutions and corporates, especially those in Dhofar, by offering a platform to discuss new developments in corporate banking. Eng. Nasser Khalifa Nasser Al Kindi from the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology gave an interesting presentation about the Government’s Digital Transformation Programme 2021-2025 during the event. This was followed by a Transaction Banking presentation by Abbas Fayadh Al Lawati on the bank’s digital facilities which have been developed for Government and Corporates across different sectors. A presentation was also made by Sakina Naseeb Al Shahi from Bank Muscat on safeguarding against fraud.Wafa Ibrahim Al Ajmi, Assistant General Manager – Transaction & Government Banking, Bank Muscat, thanked the corporate guests at the event and expressed appreciation for their strong confidence in the bank’s services and facilities. She pointed out how Bank Muscat has been spearheading a massive digital transformation in the banking and financial services sector in the Sultanate of Oman. The bank provides a complete range of technology-driven digital offerings, which cater to government entities, corporates and SMEs and enable institutions to become future ready, agile and digitally-mature organisations. She concluded by adding that Bank Muscat would continue to support corporates and government entities to make the best use of digitalisation to transform and supercharge their business environment.”
Digitalisation is in line with the goals of Oman Vision 2040 and will further enhance financial inclusion in Oman.
