MUSCAT – The five Mazda models, the Mazda3 hatchback, Mazda3 sedan, Mazda CX-30, Mazda CX-5, Mazda CX-5 and Mazda CX-9 won the 2022 awards from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) recently.
The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) is an NGO that tests vehicles on six crashworthiness evaluations comprising driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small, overlap front, moderate overlap front, original side, roof strength and head restraint tests. Moreover, to earn IIHS’s high-tier award, the vehicle must withstand the front crash prevention system tests that include: vehicle-to-vehicle crash evaluation, daytime vehicle-to pedestrian crash evaluation.
The 2022 awards are meant to declare the safest vehicles and even the safer options amongst each brand and the trims within, which further solidify the safest car option. Mazda’s progress to manufacture the safest cars has led them to claim these rewards for the third time in a row, making them known as the most reliable and safest car options.
