SGIVS Global Services to take over Indian embassy’s consular, passport and visa services

MUSCAT – With effect from July 1, 2025, the Consular Passport and Visa services will be provided by the Embassy of India, Muscat through a new service provider – SGIVS Global Services LLC. Initially from July 1, all services will be provided from the Embassy premise located at Jami’at Al – Dowal Al – Arabiya Street, Diplomatic Area, Al Khuwair.

11 application centres
As part of the embassy’s enhanced outreach and improved service delivery, SGIVS Global LLC will operationalise dedicated 11 new Application Centres across Oman, aimed at providing greater accessibility to the Indian diaspora and applicants from other nationalities. Following dedicated centres will be operationalized in the coming months: Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Ibri, Sur, Nizwa, Duqm, Ibra, Khasab, Buraimi and Barka.

August 15 full operations
These centres are scheduled to commence full operations by  August 15th, 2025. The Embassy will keep updating developments regarding opening up of new centers through various channels.

Disruption in services
“Given this transition we anticipate disruption of services in the coming days. All applicants are requested to plan their visits accordingly and to refer to the Embassy’s official website and social media channels for the latest updates. Embassy of India, Muscat appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all applicants during this transition period,” a press note said.
