Al Jabal Al Akhdar — OLIO, an Omani project for the production and marketing of Al Jabal Al Akhdar olive oil recently won three gold medals in international competitions, posing high among the most prominent extra virgin olive oil. The accomplishment affirms the outstanding quality of this Omani product and its ability to compete in global markets.

OLIO achieved this feat by winning gold medal in Abu Dhabi International Olive Oil Competition, the European International Olive Oil Competition (EIOOC) in Geneva and the Scandinavian International Olive Oil Competition (SIOOC). Global platforms assess olive oils according to precise standards that include chemical and sensory properties, under the supervision of a specialized international jury.

After pressing, oil is stored in food-grade stainless steel tanks away from light, heat and oxygen, while nitrogen gas is pumped into the containers before filling, to help minimise oxidation. The product is then packed in opaque containers to ensure that its quality remains intact until it reaches the consumer.

OLIO brand name is inspired by the compound Oleocanthal known for its natural properties and health benefits. It has been officially registered with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.
