MUSCAT – Lulu Oman has launched a noble initiative to provide wholesome Iftar meal boxes to commuters on the move, who are delayed from reaching home to break their fast. The aim of this initiative is to embody the spirit of Ramadan through a visible expression of social unity. Continuing Lulu’s core philosophy to support the community, the Group has rolled out this initiative, in association with N7N Volunteers team who will be engaged in the distribution at different traffic signals like Baushar, Darsait, Markaz al Bahja and at similar locations in major towns like Sohar and Salalah.

Speaking on the initiative, Shabeer K.A., Regional Director – Oman, said “In our own humble way, this is a reflection of our continued commitment of spreading a culture of charitable work and humanitarian initiatives that create social impact. Also, furthering our vision of giving back to the community we operate, gives us great pride”.

“We are thankful to the N7N Volunteers Team for supporting this idea by distributing the Iftar meal boxes for families and commuters who are still on the road and are yet to break their fast,” he added.

Mohammed Al Zadjali, Spokesperson for the N7N Group stated, “It was an honor for N7N Volunteers team to collaborate with LuLu to achieve this campaign. We always strive to help the community and to be given this opportunity from LuLu felt like the cherry on top! We look forward to do more such activities and give back to the community whenever the chance presents itself”.

In addition to this, Lulu has tied up with various other charitable organisations in Oman to support their Ramadan activities and provide the Iftar boxes to those who are in need. As part of its multi-pronged Corporate Social Responsibility campaign, Lulu Group has constantly been investing in social initiatives and community development programs that create tangible positive impact in the lives of people, society, and the environment, in addition to building a cohesive and mutually supportive society.
