HM The Sultan leaves Doha

DOHA – His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik left Doha today after a two-day state visit to the State of Qatar during which he met with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar.

His Majesty the Sultan was seen off at Doha International Airport by Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar.

The farewell party also included Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Personal Representative of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Attiyah, Minister of State (Head of the Mission of Honour), Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Chief of the Emiri Diwan and Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Ambassador of Qatar to Oman.

While leaving Doha, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has sent a cable of thanks to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar.

In the cable, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the hospitality accorded to him and his delegation, which reflects the deeply-rooted relations binding the two countries and their peoples. His Majesty prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant Sheikh Tamim good health, well-being and long life. His Majesty also wished the people of Qatar further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of Sheikh Tamim.

During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan was accompanied by an official high-level delegation which comprised HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Dr Mahad bin Said Ba’Owain, Minister of Labour and Najeeb bin Yahya Al Balushi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Qatar.
