HM The Sultan arrives in India

NEW DELHI – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived in New Delhi today on a three-day State Visit to the Republic of India. During the visit, His Majesty will hold meetings with President Droupadi Murmu and Narendra Modi, Prime Minister.


His Majesty was received upon his arrival to New Delhi by Shri V.Muralidharan, Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs (Head of the Mission of Honour), Amit Narang, Ambassador of India to Oman, Issa Saleh Al Shibani, Ambassador of Oman to India, a number of Indian officials and members of Oman’s Embassy in New Delhi.


In a manifestation of joy and pride over His Majesty the Sultan’s arrival, a student troupe conducted a classical art show from Indian folklore.


During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied by an official high-ranking delegation comprising HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA), Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, Pankaj Khimji, Advisor for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large at the Foreign Ministry and Issa Saleh Al Shibani, Ambassador of Oman to India.


May Allah the Almighty guard His Majesty the Sultan in his travel and grant him good health, wellbeing and success in all his endeavours to realize the good of his people.
