Bank Muscat holds special draw on Omani Youth Day

MUSCAT – Bank Muscat celebrated the Omani Youth Day on October 26, 2020 with a special draw for its Shababi account holders. Fifty lucky customers won prizes of RO 500 each in the Shababi special draw, which was held in the presence of Amjad Iqbal Al Lawati, Assistant General Manager – Cards and Electronic Banking, Bank Muscat, and live streamed on the bank’s official social media channels on Twitter and Instagram. The Shababi Day appreciates Omani youth and their efforts and their role in nation-building. The online celebrations telecast by the bank featured a number of young achievers who discussed the opportunities available for Omani youth to develop and harness their energies and talents for the good of the community and for nation-building. Speaking on the occasion, Abdullah Tamman Al Maashani, Deputy General Manager – Institutional Sales and Product Development, Bank Muscat, said: “Our youth are the future of our country and as the nation’s leading financial institution, Bank Muscat aims to provide the motivation for youth to excel in all arenas and thereby contribute to the development and progress of Oman. Bank Muscat recognises the goals and aspirations of its customers, especially the youth, who are the future of the country. The special draw and monthly prizes are a way to encourage them to save more for the future and there is no doubt that it leads to the building of a strong financial culture amongst our youth and the strengthening of our economy and society.”Shababi accounts can be opened by youth between the ages of 18 and 23 years. It comes with a number of benefits including no minimum balance fee, the Shababi contactless debit card, exclusive competitions on social media, and participation in the Shababi monthly draw. Bank Muscat’s Shababi Debit Card is a contactless card which helps Oman’s youth to learn early to spend, save and manage their money and has a daily withdrawal limit of RO 600. It allows for a number of discounts and special offers at selected merchants.
