Badr Al Samaa Sohar launches advanced MRI facility

MUSCAT – Badr Al Samaa Hospital at Sohar launched an advanced MRI facility (GE Signa Voyager 1.5 T) which is the first of its kind by GE Company in the Sultanate.

HE Sheikh Ahmaed Al Ghofaily, Goodwill Ambassador & Former Member of State Council was the Chief Guest, Eng Salim Bin Hamad Al Kindi, DG Sohar Municipality was the guest of honour and Dr Najat Mohammed Issa Al Zadjali, Director – DGPHE, North Batinah Governorate was the special guest.

The event was also attended by managing directors of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospital, Abdul Latheef and Dr. P A Mohammed, executive directors Firasath Hassan and Moiedeen Bilal, Chief Executive Officer Sameer PT, Chief Operating Officer Jacob Oommen, Branch Head Manoj Kumar, Medical Director Dr Azhar Iqbal, Head Branding & Communication Asif Shah and many eminent dignitaries, doctors, nurses, administrative staff of Badr Al Samaa Group.

The newly launched MRI has the best features resulting in precise diagnosis and utmost patient comfort like wide bore of 70mm for best patient comfort, TDI (Total Digital imaging) for better image clarity and 27percent higher signal to noise ratio, silent scan (reduce scan noise down to 3db above ambient noise), AIR Recon which enables shorter scan time and higher resolution, motion correction on all anatomies, 3D imaging on all anatomies, ability to scan with metallic implants, advanced Cardiac exams and needle free suite (ability to scan vascular imaging without the need of injection). This machine will be the boon for the private healthcare sector of North Al Batinah Region.
