MUSCAT – Heavy thunderstorms (30-100 mm) accompanied with strong downdraft winds and hail expected during tonight and tomorrow morning (Wednesday) over governorates of Musandam, Al Buraimi, A’Dhahirah, North Al Batinah and A’Dakhiliyah, Muscat, South Al Batinah, South A’Sharqiyah and North A’Sharqiyah and the northern parts of Al Wusta Governorate. Chances of isolated rains occasionally thundershowers predicted over Dhofar governorate as well.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) advices all to take precaution during thunderstorms, avoid crossing Wadis (Flashfloods) and low laying areas and avoid venturing into the sea during alert period.
