MUSCAT – Al Rahma Association for Motherhood and Child Welfare and Sobha Group signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the SAS project initiative; to build 300 homes for orphans and needy families, at a total value of RO 9.6 million over the next ten years.
The MoU was signed by Sana Abdul Rahman Al Khanjari, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Al Rahma Association and PNC Menon, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sobha Group.
The agreement provides for the establishment of integrated housing complexes for the target group if they have lands, or the construction of separate houses for those who will be given land or for those who own unconstructed land or an uninhabitable house. The building area for each home will be 200 square meters at a construction cost not exceeding RO 35,000 for each house.
The MoU signing ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr Laila Ahmed Al Najjar, Minister of Social Development.
