MUSCAT – In an effort to strengthen its core principles of goodness and benevolence during Ramadan, Lulu Oman rolled out an exemplary initiative to provide Iftar meals to university students in hostels across Muscat during the Holy month. This initiative follows the “Convoy of Goodness” campaign launched earlier to distribute special Ramadan grocery kits to 1,000 deserving families across Oman.
The latest in a series of initiatives is part of Lulu Group’s corporate social responsibility strategy and is a noble gesture towards the welfare of the society during Ramadan. As part of Iftar meals distribution drive, Lulu and N7N volunteers distributed Iftar boxes containing a selection of delicious eatables, drinks, dates and fruits to students of several colleges across Muscat.
Commenting on the initiative, Shabeer K A, Regional Director – Lulu Hypermarkets, Oman, said, “We are glad to have launched this initiative to enhance the spirit of love and compassion within the society during Ramadan. This initiative is an example of how we can come together during Ramadan and make a real difference in our community.
“There are so many students who remain far away from home, and through this campaign, we are happy to have brought joy and smiles to their faces and made them feel at home,” he added.
Besides being the ultimate shopping destination, LuLu Group has always been a key promoter of social initiatives and has taken every effort to raise its contributions to the development of the society.
