MUSCAT – The Main Committee for Ramadan Moon Sighting 1444 AH has announced that tomorrow (Thursday), March 23, 2023, will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
This was stated in the statement issued by the Committee which convened at the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs today.
The Committee met under the chairmanship of Dr. Mohammed Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs and membership of His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed Hamad Al Khalil, Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, Eng. Khalid Hilal Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Wa’el Saif Al Harrasi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed Salim Al Akhzami, Judge at the Supreme Court, Sheikh Abdulrahman Abdulsattar Al Kamali, Judge at the Supreme Court and Sheikh Mohammed Salim Al Nahdi, Judge at the Supreme Court.
