NIZWA – The collective roar of nearly 400 motorcycles from various governorates of Oman and other Gulf Cooperation Council countries roaring down the roads of Nizwa and beyond had a clear celebratory touch.
The Wilayat of Nizwa recently hosted the “Renewed Omani Renaissance March” from January 9 to 11, which was organised by the Nizwa Bikers Club, Muscat Bikers Club, and Elite Riders of Oman, in celebration of Oman’s renewed renaissance under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

The event witnesses the participation of 42 teams from within and outside the Sultanate of Oman, reflecting Oman’s growing position as a leading destination for motorcycle tourism and adventure travel, thanks to its safety, stability, and advanced tourism infrastructure.
The event began last Friday, with the reception of participants at Nizwa Hotel Apartments. On Saturday morning, the official march departed from Nizwa Souq Square, following Omani traditional folk performances. The convoy passed through Al Hamra, Bahla, and Manah, before arriving at the Oman Across Ages Museum, which hosted the closing ceremony and honoring of participants in the evening.

On January 11, a special tourism trip to Jebel Akhdar took place, where the bikers departed from the Nizwa Grand Mall parking area. The trip also included visits to several prominent tourist attractions in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. This experience combined adventure while showcasing Oman’s natural beauty.

The organisers affirmed that this march represents a practical reflection of the goals of Oman Vision 2040, through promoting domestic tourism and strengthening Oman’s presence on the regional and international sports and tourism events map, while also building bridges of communication between participating teams from different countries.
