NIZWA – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) today celebrated the passing out of a new batch of police recruits and female police officers. The ceremony took place at the military parade ground of the Police Recruits Institute at the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences in the Wilayat of Nizwa. It was held under the auspices of Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy.
The passing out batch gave the salute to the chief guest. Then, the commander of the column asked the chief guest to inspect the front row of the parade. The batch passed in front of the dais in the parade formation. Later, the chief guest handed out awards to the top graduates.
The graduates played the Royal Oman Police anthem and chanted thrice: “Long live His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander.”
The ceremony concluded with a military salute to the chief guest. Then, the commander of the column asked permission to leave the parade ground.
The ceremony was attended by Lt. Gen. Hassan Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, senior officers of the ROP and military and security units, directors of government institutions and department in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate and parents of the graduates.
