MUSCAT – Aligned with its core values of excellence and collaboration, Oman International Development & Investment Company SAOG (OMINVEST) recently celebrated Omani Women’s Day with the inauguration of its ‘Leadership Development Programme for Women’, as well as a number of activities including team building and motivational speeches.
The day’s celebrations were centered on empowering the women working at OMINVEST, and marking the vital contribution they make to the success of the company. Attended by the Group CEO AbdulAziz Al Balushi and other members of the leadership team, it was the women of the organisation and their wellbeing that were at the centre of activities, with a speech by a female staff member and the announcement of the ‘Women Leadership Development Programme’ the highlight of the day.
A firm believer in the development of talents, AbdulAziz Al Balushi, Group CEO at OMINVEST, said, “Through our core values, we always seek to bring strategies to life that sharpen our people’s expertise and give them the confidence to succeed. Over 30 percent of our workforce, and out of 9, 2 of our board members are women, and we hope for this percentage to grow in the coming time, across key functions. It is also a right step in becoming more ESG-compliant, putting people at the centre of our activities.”

The ‘Leadership Development Programme for Women’ will see the upskilling of female Omani talents within OMINVEST at global standards, empowering them to take up future leadership positions. Executed by internationally recognised Leadership Management International (LMI), the programme is one of the many initiatives OMINVEST supports to work towards global ESG goals, adding long-standing value to the business and society at large by increasing the number of female leaders.
