Your thoughts on this.
Omani Women’s Day is indeed more than just a celebration of womanhood, but also a recognition of resilience, adaptability, and achievements across all fields. While globally, we often speak about breaking biases, here in Oman, we are witnessing the fruits of a collaborative approach where both women and men contribute to societal progress. It’s about honouring the diverse successes of Omani women, from those pioneering new business ventures to those nurturing families and communities. This day symbolises how Omani women have woven themselves into the fabric of our nation’s growth story, working hand in hand with their male counterparts to build a brighter, more inclusive future for everyone!

How would you view the growth and advancement of Omani women in the last many years? What would you like to say about that?
The journey of Omani women over the years has been truly remarkable. From classrooms to boardrooms, and from community projects to science and innovation, Omani women have shown their strength and determination. What’s most inspiring is how their perception has changed—not just in the eyes of society, but in how they view themselves. We’ve grown more confident in our voices and in shaping our own stories. Our progress shows what’s possible when opportunities are provided, and potential is embraced, thanks to supportive national policies and a shared commitment.

With regards to the advancement, would you say that today Omani women are on par with other women of the world? If not, what more should be done?
Omani women stand proudly with their global peers, showing their skills and resilience on the world stage. Our achievements in education, entrepreneurship, and community leadership speak volumes. However, even as we celebrate these successes, there is always room for further growth. Continuing to invest in mentorship, leadership opportunities, and access to new markets will further empower Omani women to take on challenges with greater confidence. Our goal isn’t just to keep up, but to create new paths that inspire future generations. It’s about creating a legacy where every Omani woman can thrive, contribute, and make her mark both at home and abroad.
