Oman participates in session of World Heritage Committee in New Delhi

NEW DELHI – The Sultanate of Oman is taking part in the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee meetings, held in New Delhi, India.


The meetings, which will run till July 31, are organised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).


Oman’s delegation in the 46th session is headed by Dr Hamad Saif Al Hamami, Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to UNESCO. The session will discuss a spectrum of topics, such as the state of conservation of properties inscribed on the World Heritage List, as well as deciding on which properties included in the list are to be inscribed or removed from the List of World Heritage in Danger, among other topics.
