Oman participates in 49th session Arab Council of Ministers of Youth, Sports

Cairo — The Sultanate of Oman participated today in the 49th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports, held at the headquarters of the Secretariat General of the Arab League in Cairo.

The delegation of the Sultanate of Oman was headed by Basil Ahmed Al Rowas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports and Youth. The session discussed several important topics, most notably the approval of recommendations from the Board of Directors of the Arab Fund for Youth and Sports Activities. The council also reviewed the technical secretariat’s report regarding the council’s activities during the previous period and discussed mechanisms to support joint youth and sports programs and initiatives among Arab countries.


During the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of enhancing joint Arab cooperation in the fields of youth and sports, as well as unifying efforts to support future trends that contribute to empowering Arab youth and developing the sports sector infrastructure at the regional level.

It is worth noting that this participation stems from the Sultanate of Oman’s keenness to contribute effectively to supporting Arab youth and sports endeavors and to exchange successful expertise and experiences.
