Visitors to Masirah, the Sultanate of Oman’s largest island, off the east coast of the country, are often bowled over by its wild beauty. Many visit the island because it offers avenues for watersports, particularly kite surfing and also fishing. The island is a habitat of large colonies of turtles and it is known to be the number one in the world for loggerheads.Â
