International musicians shine with the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra

MUSCAT — Two exceptional evenings at the Royal Opera House of Musical Arts brought together international musicians for a special talk and a concert that celebrated artistic dialogue and cross-cultural collaboration.

Guests recently gathered at the Music Library for an engaging discussion with pianist Samih Sawiris, conductor Lena-Lisa Wüstendörfer, and composer Joja Wendt. The conversation offered insight into each artist’s creative process, exploring how collaboration and shared musical experiences influence their work. The audience responded warmly to the exchange, which highlighted the importance of artistic partnership and mutual inspiration across different musical traditions.



The next evening, the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra performed alongside pianist Samih Sawiris and internationally renowned harpist Alexander Boldachev, conducted by Lena-Lisa Wüstendörfer. The concert presented a carefully curated programme blending Arab and European musical heritages, featuring works by Abu Bakr Khairat, Joja Wendt, and Alexander Boldachev. The performance showcased the orchestra’s versatility and the soloists’ passion and mastery, offering a rich musical experience.
