BNI Oman’s Salaam chapter celebrates one year with Business Owners Summit

MUSCAT — The Salaam Chapter of BNI Oman marked its one-year anniversary with a remarkable celebration at the Crowne Plaza, hosting the Business Owners Summit 2024. BNI, the world’s largest business referral organisation, with a footprint in 77 countries, over 325,000 members, and 11,000 chapters globally, celebrated this milestone with an engaging and insightful event.

The event commenced with a captivating Omani cultural dance performance, setting the stage for a day of insightful discussions and networking opportunities.

This vibrant display of Omani heritage underscored the chapter’s commitment to celebrating local culture while fostering global business connections. The summit featured a keynote address from Abdulaziz Al Fahdi, Head of Clients Affairs at Invest Oman, Ministry of Commerce and Investment Promotion. Al Fahdi’s presentation highlighted the ease of investing in Oman and detailed the extensive support offered by the Omani government to encourage investment. His insights underscored Oman’s favourable investment climate and the government’s commitment to facilitating business growth.

The event was conducted in the esteemed presence of BNI Oman’s National Director, Saleem Althaf, and Director of Operations, Khathija Safana. Their unwavering leadership and visionary approach have been pivotal in expanding the BNI community within Oman. Under their guidance, BNI Oman has grown significantly, fostering valuable connections and opportunities for local business owners.

The Salaam Chapter’s current leadership team, including President Mohammed Sharief, Vice President Mohammed Askari, and Secretary-Treasurer Noushad Kakkeri, were instrumental in supporting the business community throughout the year. Their commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment has been a cornerstone of the chapter’s success.

The program was hosted by the chapter’s founding President, Murtaza Jariwala, whose foundational efforts have been pivotal in the chapter’s success. Attendees at the summit included members of the Salaam Chapter, who have actively engaged in and benefited from the chapter’s networking and referral activities.

Additionally, the event attracted international visitors, reflecting BNI’s global reach and the growing interest in its unique business networking model. The Business Owners Summit 2024 also featured a presentation by BNI National Director, Saleem Althaf, who outlined how BNI supports business owners through its referral system and adherence to BNI’s core values. The summit also marked the exciting announcement of the upcoming BNI Majan chapter, which promises to further extend BNI’s mission to nurture business connections and opportunities throughout the region.
