Bank Muscat participates in greening of Wadi Naheez Team Football Pitch in Salalah

MUSCAT – Bank Muscat, as part of Social Responsibility through developing national teams and supporting Omani youth, recently participated in the celebration of the synthetic turf project completion for the Wadi Naheez team in Salalah, Dhofar governorate, as part of its Green Sports programme. This initiative is designed to support local sports teams and enhance Oman’s sports infrastructure.

The event was patronised by H. E. Mohammad bin Hassan Al Ansi Al Yafai, Member of the Shura Council, representative of the Wilayat of Salalah, Ahmed bin Suhail Al Amri, Reginal Manager of Bank Muscat Branches, Dhofar, in presence of the Eng. Ahmed bin Suhail Qattan, Head of the Wadi Naheez Team, along with a number of the Bank’s regional executive officials, distinguished guests and team members.



Ahmed bin Suhail Al Amri, Reginal Manager of Bank Muscat Branches, Dhofar, delivered a speech expressing delight at the project’s inauguration. He emphasized that Bank Muscat’s efforts are focused on providing sustainable sports infrastructure in Oman, benefiting the nation’s youth and enabling various sports and cultural activities. Al Amri also congratulated the team members on the successful completion of the project.

He further remarked, “In recent years, Bank Muscat has successfully implemented several projects, including lighting, natural and synthetic turf, and water desalination initiatives, for various local sports teams across different wilayats and governorates. These efforts aim to enhance Oman’s sports infrastructure and promote green landscapes throughout the country. We are extremely proud of the programme’s success since its launch in 2012 and the strong competition among eligible teams to benefit from the funding it provides.”



Eng. Ahmed bin Suhail Qattan, Head of the Wadi Naheez Team, expressed his deep appreciation for Bank Muscat and its unwavering support for Omani youth. He stated: “Bank Muscat is committed to supporting sports teams and fostering the development of youth talents and potential. The ‘Green Sports’ programme is an exemplary initiative that significantly contributes to the advancement of national sports teams and the enhancement of sports infrastructure. From our side, the team management is dedicated to maintaining the project and leveraging it to organise various tournaments and activities. These events not only showcase the diverse talents of young people but also facilitate the organization of social gatherings on the newly prepared ground, benefiting both our team members and other teams in the governorate. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Bank Muscat for their efforts and collaboration in supporting sports teams and promoting the concept of social responsibility among private sector companies and institutions at large.”
