MUSCAT – Mohsin Haider Darwish LLC taps increasing regional demand for Ashok Leyland products. Ashok Leyland, a Hinduja Group company and a transnational transportation and mobility solutions leader, introduced exclusive variant to meet growing demand in PDO [Petroleum Development of Oman] segment.
The company which has over seven decades of experience in manufacturing Commercial vehicles rolled out its first Oyster bus PDO variant from its Ras Al Khaimah plant in UAE.
On the occasion of roll out Amandeep Singh, Head – International Operations said, “As a regional player, we ensure that each variant of bus is made keeping the end user and operating conditions in mind. The new Oyster with PDO specifications is the first GCC-made rollover and frontal-crash compliant bus with factory-built features to join the 1000 plus of Ashok Leyland buses in Oman.

MHD has invested in 10 bay state of the art facilities in Ghala, 26 skilled and dedicated technicians. The team is equipped with 3 No’s Service vans and the workshop is also supported by 1200 Sqm spare parts facility. We believe that customer success is our success”.
The Oyster bus provides 32 seats, 1000mm extra high back smart seat, with 3-point seat belts, fire retardant interiors, Aluminum chequered flooring, factory fitted on/Off road tires, best in class 25 KW Air condition, full stand-up saloon height, best in class aisle space with fully flat floor, Dual Speed Limiter. The Oyster is Powered by time tested H Series CRS Engine along with heavy duty 5 Speed ZF Gear Box.
The MY22 Oysters are available at Mohsin Haider Darwish, Ashok Leyland 3s Facility at Ghala.
