MUSCAT — The Public Prosecution calls for demonstrating awareness, expressing responsible opinions, and exercising wisdom in words and actions, particularly across social media platforms. It urges individuals to refrain from anything that could offend countries, their symbols, or their peoples, or harm the relations maintained by the Sultanate of Oman.

In a statement today, the Public Prosecution affirms that it will take the prescribed legal measures against anyone who commits an act to the contrary, whether through publishing, re-publishing, sharing, inciting, or in any other form criminalized by law. This will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of applicable legislation, including Articles (20, 23, and 26) of the Cybercrime Law.
