MUSCAT — Acting in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development, Al Noor Association for the Blind organised a public awareness exhibition featuring technologies for assisting visually impaired persons.
The exhibition underscored the role of these devices and systems in promoting independence and facilitating the participation of visually impaired people in social activities.
The exhibition was held as part of programmes to observe the International White Cane Day, marked on October 15 every year to celebrate the achievements of blind persons and visually impaired individuals. The theme recognises the white cane as a symbol of independence, dignity, and freedom of movement.
