MUSCAT — Oman Arab Bank hosted the Ruwad Alumni Gathering 2026, bringing together graduates of the Ruwad Leadership Development Program for an evening dedicated to reconnecting, exchanging experiences and celebrating the program’s continued impact. The event was held under the patronage of Mr Ashraf Al Mamari, Group CEO of OQ, at the Tivoli La VIE Hotel. The gathering welcomed Ruwad alumni from different batches, alongside senior management, managers and representatives from partner organisations. More than a reunion, the event provided a platform for graduates to reflect on their professional journeys, strengthen their networks and continue learning from one another.

The program opened with welcoming remarks by Sulaiman Al Harthi, CEO of Oman Arab Bank, who highlighted the importance of sustaining a strong alumni community and encouraged graduates to view leadership development as an ongoing journey.

“Ruwad is a leadership development program that created a thriving community of leaders who continue to learn, connect and leave lasting impact. This gathering renews the bonds between alumni, transforming individual experiences into shared knowledge and new opportunities for collaboration. Investing in national leadership is a direct investment in the future of our institutions, which ultimately affects our economy and, thus, our nation,” said Al Harthi.

The gathering featured a presentation highlighting the impact and key milestones of the Ruwad program, followed by alumni testimonies and an interactive panel discussion. Participants shared perspectives on their evolving roles, the leadership challenges they have encountered and the ways in which they have applied lessons from the program within their workplaces.

A keynote leadership talk was delivered by Ashraf Al Mamari, who explored the importance of continuous learning, personal growth and lifelong leadership development. “True leadership is measured not by titles, but by the impact we create and the opportunities we open for others to grow. The Ruwad Alumni Gathering reflects the power of continuous learning and a leadership network built on shared experience and inspiration. When ambitions unite, their collective impact can help shape a more prosperous future for Oman,” said Al Mamari.

The evening also recognised the first-place participants from each Ruwad batch in appreciation of their performance and commitment throughout the program. A commemorative video revisited defining moments from the program’s journey, highlighting the experiences and connections shared by participants across the different batches.
