MUSCAT — Bank Muscat, in collaboration with Oman Sail, continues to drive meaningful impact through the “Youth Uplifting Programme”, equipping students with leadership and teamwork skills in an inclusive learning environment.

The first semester, ending this May, has benefitted around 100 students from grades 9 to 11 in public schools across Muscat Governorate, including integrated classes that bring together students with disabilities in a shared learning environment. It began in November 2025 and ran for six months, during which 13 training sessions were conducted, focusing on developing leadership and teamwork skills, promoting environmental responsibility, and encouraging students to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle. The second semester will commence with a new cohort of students from September to December 2026. Each training session will span two days and will include sailing activities supervised by specialized trainers, alongside personal development sessions and financial literacy workshops. This integrated approach aims to equip students with well-rounded skills that support both their academic journey and personal growth.

This initiative is designed to develop the capabilities of Omani youth and enhance their skills through a comprehensive educational experience that combines sailing, personal development, and financial literacy. The programme also focuses on strengthening leadership and life skills through self-development activities, positively impacting students’ academic and professional paths, as well as their role in society. It stands out for its inclusive approach, involving youth with disabilities to ensure equal opportunities for them to harness their potential and actively participate in sailing activities.
