MUSCAT— Omantel Academy recently launched the second edition of its National Skills Development Programme in a bid to affirm Omantel’s ongoing commitment to support the goals of Oman Vision 2040 and empower national talents in the fields of technology and digital transition.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of Eng. Omar bin Hamdan Al Ismaili, Chief Executive Officer of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.
The programme aims to train 1,200 Omani graduates who are holders of Bachelor’s degree in technical disciplines, in addition to generating 500 employment opportunities through an educational march that lasts four years and includes 12-month training for each batch.

The programme combines theoretical education, practical laboratories and engagement in real-world projects run by a select group of international experts. It seeks to groom a generation that is capable of leading the digital transition march.
The participants will receive internationally accredited certificates from leading global technology companies like Microsoft, Huawei, Cisco, Google and Oracle.
