
MUSCAT — The year 2025 created a record by making available over 51,000 job opportunities and training for the nationals, by surpassing the target of 45,000 jobs in both the government and private sector.
The Ministry of Labour clarified that this achievement reflects the level of integration between various government entities and the private sector in supporting the national employment system. The ministry indicated that the qualitative programs and initiatives included replacement plans, training coupled with employment, and efforts to enhance the capabilities of job seekers, in addition to close cooperation with private sector establishments to open broader horizons for sustainable job opportunities.
The ministry explained that first-time employment and replacement in the government sector reached 11,206 opportunities, exceeding the target of 10,000 opportunities, while the private sector recorded 25,207 opportunities, exceeding the target of 24,000.
As for training and training coupled with employment, the public sector recorded 2,588 opportunities, while the private sector recorded 12,481 opportunities.
The ministry underlined its commitment to continue developing initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing the work environment and raising employment rates, in line with the targets of “Oman Vision 2040.”
