SALALAH – A forum titled ” Role of coordinating bodies in partnerships and integration of entrepreneurs with disabilities”, was organised recently by Oman Association for Persons with Disabilities (OAPD) in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate.
The forum, codenamed “Mutakamiloon” (integrated) was the third event of its kind to be organised by the OAPD to empower entrepreneurs belonging to this segment of society.
The forum’s programme included presentations featuring inspiring stories of some entrepreneurs among persons with disabilities, in addition to working papers on ways of empowering the disabled, including providing them with employment opportunities.
The forum also included a dialogue session about the role of public and private establishments in supporting persons with disabilities. The event saw the signing of some agreements and an exhibition that showcased relevant products and services.
