MUSCAT – Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, today presided over the graduation ceremony of a new batch of the Tasmu Initiative, which aims to develop leadership capabilities of Omani women cadres. The ceremony took place at the Royal Academy of Management (RAM).
Upon the arrival of the Honourable Lady at the Academy’s building, she was received by Dr Ali Qassim Al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management, and those in charge of the Academy. In cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development, the new batch saw the participation of 50 women from the public and private sectors and civil society institutions.
Tasmu Initiative, the first national programme of its kind that is dedicated to female leaders, seeks to enhance the Sultanate of Oman’s comprehensive development process. It includes advanced training, meetings and field visits.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, the Honourable Lady toured the Academy’s departments and listened to a briefing about the institution’s goals and specialized programmes designed to develop performance and draw out future strategic plans. She also took note of the Digital Academy and the international indices display panel.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Honourable Lady signed the Visitors Book. The Royal Academy of Management presented a commemorative gift to the Honourable Lady, who expressed her thanks to those in charge of Tasmu Initiative.
The Honourable Lady also valued the sincere efforts to develop the capabilities of Omani women in various fields. She wished all success in making further accomplishments.
For their part, the organisers of the initiative expressed their delight at the auspicious visit of the Honourable Lady, thanking her for gracing the ceremony. They valued her great support to Omani women. They also expressed their best wishes to her.
