Bank Muscat, Oman’s flagship financial services provider organises the annual event to honour its merchant partners in the public and private sectors for their outstanding contributions to the card business. The Partners in Progress Awards are a way to measure the success of Bank Muscat’s efforts in changing the customer’s preferred payment method from cash to card, which signals a transformation of the financial landscape. Ooredoo aims to encourage and incentivise its customers to pay for products and services using safe and secure digital payment methods. Cards currently lead as the digital payment method of choice, while emerging payment technologies, such as digital wallets, are expected to gain traction.
Ooredoo Oman recently took home other prestigious awards for its achievements in the area of digital transformation. Named a leader in digital transformation and in creating a seamless B2B customer experience, Ooredoo Oman was selected as the winner in the Telecom category at the recently held COMEX Excellence in Technology Awards 2024. The telco also won the ‘Most Innovative Digitally Transformed Telecom Company – Oman 2023’ award by Global Business Outlook.
