MUSCAT – Bank Muscat celebrated the 17th edition of its annual Partners in Progress awards ceremony at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. This annual event aims to acknowledge the efforts made by top merchant partners from government institutions and private sector companies to implement various payment acceptance solutions using POS terminals. During the event trophies were handed to the winners from top 40 institutions. The gala event was attended by members of the Bank’s Management Team and representatives from the respective institutions participating.
Nine ministries and government institutions won awards for implementing the Bank’s payment acceptance solutions at the awards ceremony including Royal Oman Police, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Housing & Urban Planning, Behar, Oman Development Bank, Supreme Judiciary Council and Nama.
Corporate merchant partner winners included: Lulu Hypermarket, Landmark Group, Oman Oil, ONEIC, OIFC, Talabat, Majid Al Futtaim Hypermarkets – Carrefour, Sharaf DG, NMC Healthcare, IKEA, Liva Insurance, Al Shaya International, Shell Oman Marketing, Malabar Gold Jewellery, Pizza Hut, Muscat Pharmacy, Oman International Container Terminal, Apparel International, Salam Air, The International School of Choueifat, Global Money Exchange, Makkah Hypermarket, Thawani, Tageer Finance SAOG, Six Senses Zighy Bay, Saud Bahwan Automotive, Al Fair, YAAS modern shopping LLC, My Tour, Ooredoo and Omantel.
On this occasion, Abdulnasir Al Raisi, General Manager – Personal Banking, Bank Muscat, congratulated all the winners in this year’s Partners in Progress and he stated: “Our partners from government institutions and private companies have contributed immensely in enhancing the use of digital payment solutions. With this increase, the Bank registered 213 million transactions that were carried out using these digital payment solutions. The Bank will continue to develop and launch new services to enhance customer experience as these inventions aim to enable individuals and businesses to prosper in an increasingly digital world.”
