MUSCAT – Sheraton Oman Hotel’s four pastry chefs and engineering staff got together to turn 80 kg of sugar and 800 eggs into an alluring gingerbread house inviting a lot of attention to the iconic destination. It took three days to build the 12 meters-wide, eight meters-foot-tall, sweet treat which is believed to be largest gingerbread house in the city. The chefs worked non-stop for 48 hours to create the gingerbread house covered with around 2000 pieces of freshly baked gingerbread bricks and ‘wish’ cookies and candies.
Every year Sheraton Oman chefs make it a point to give a new look to the gingerbread giving people a reason to come back to view the creation. Decorating gingerbread house is a wonderful tradition and a great way to kick off the holidays. Sheraton Oman invites families to bring their children and let them enjoy the fun of creating and decorating the gingerbread house.
